PERFORMANCE PROVES THE QUALITY
Our Cupola Ramming Mass "Adram-CU" is marketed by us under our brand name MS-20-CH and is found excellent and most economical as refrectory lining for Melting Zone of Cold and Hot Blast Cupolas. This material is made out of pure Silica and ceramic binders and has minimum 80% SiO2 content and grain size 0 to 4mm. High temperature resistance and very good workability has made it popular with many Hot Blast Cupola operators.
The mixture is supplied in dry form packed in gunny bags. The whole content of any bag should be unpacked on the clean ground near the cupola furnace and mixed with shovel so as to bring bring about homogeneity. Requisite amount of water should be added slowly. (Approximately 10% depending upon the consistency required). Mixing after adding water should again be done thoroughly. Keep this wet mixture duly covered by wet gunny bags for 24 hours to develop plasticity. Then hand balls of approximately half to one kg. May be made which is hand thrown inside cupola in proper position.
While unpacking material please see that strings removed for opening bags are not mixed. If you find such strings, please remove it without fail as otherwise it will burnt out while cupola is in operation and metal penetrate in burnt out portion and will damage the lining.
After the days run the worn out bricks surface should be cleaned off of the adhering metal/slag preferably by hand chisel. To this cleaned portion, ramming mass handballs should be thrown. The lining thus built is hand dressed to correct counter.
The lining should be dried slowly. Firing the wood can do this.
